North Sea Collision: The Russian captain of the Solong container ship has been charged with gross negligence manslaughter following a deadly collision in the North Sea. The crash, which occurred 13 miles off the East Yorkshire coast near Withernsea, involved the US-registered oil tanker Stena Immaculate, carrying jet fuel for the US Navy. Authorities confirmed that one crew member, a Filipino national, died in the collision, while several others were rescued. The captain, Vladimir Motin, 59, was taken into custody and is set to appear before Hull Magistrates Court.
