‘Not farmers but infiltrators behind violence at Red Fort’: Punjab CM
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh said he believes farmers were not involved in the violence in Delhi.
Amarinder Singh added that the movement lost steam after violence at Red fort.
“Farmers had made it clear that they don’t believe in violence.
I don’t believe farmers were involved in this.
Now it is for them to investigate who infiltrated.
I’ve been warning govt that Pakistan is trying to infiltrate.
Since farmer struggle, no of weaponry coming into Punjab has travelled,” he said.
“The whole world was supporting farmers.
Movement lost steam after violence at Red Fort.
There are people with different ideologies.
No Indian can be proud of violence that happened in Delhi.
Red fort is a symbol of our independence.
It was a very sad day when I saw this happening,” he added.
Tractor rally in Delhi on January 26 turned violent.
Nearly 400 police personnel were injured during violence.
One farmer died and several were injured in the violence.
