The names of soldiers who lost their lives in the Galwan Valley fighting People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops on June 15 last year have been recently engraved on the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

20 soldiers including Colonel Santosh Babu had lost their lives in clash with Chinese troops in the Eastern Ladakh sector.

Army officials paid tribute to the valour of bravehearts at Amar Jawan Jyoti.

China has not disclosed the number of casualties suffered on their side.

The tension escalated along the LAC in Eastern Ladakh and resulted in large deployment of troops.
