Speaking on leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union, Rakesh Tikait's announcement of excluding Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 'chakka jam', leader of Krantikari Kisan Union, Darshan Pal Singh on February 06 said, "He personally felt that violence might occur in UP and Uttarakhand.

I feel he should have made the statement after speaking with us.

The statement was made in haste." Yesterday, Tikait said, "We have evidence that few people would have attempted to spread violence at these places.

So we have decided to not block roads in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand."
