Army organizes awareness camp in JandK's Baramulla district

Indian Army organized awareness cum demonstration camp on snow avalanches of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on February 08.

Army trained the villagers of Boniyar Tehsil with avalanche rescue techniques.

Special team of Indian army rescue unit demonstrated live drills in front of the villagers in order to practically teach them.

Avalanche unit of Indian army briefed local villagers about the rescue protocols that need to be adhered.

They were also informed about the medical facilities required while executing such rescue operations.

Usage of various equipments, including chords, beacons, probes, shovels were also demonstrated.
