'30 bodies recovered, search ops on': Uttarakhand DGP on glacier blast tragedy

While speaking to ANI in Dehradun on February 09, DGP of Uttarakhand, Ashok Kumar spoke on glacier blast tragedy.

DGP Kumar said, "30 bodies have been recovered.

Search operation is on for the missing.

We are searching river bed and debris.

Today, three bodies were recovered from the debris in Raini Village including our police personnel." "We can't estimate exact time to remove debris as there is 90-degrees turn in the tunnel.

We have asked project engineers to make alternative entry to reach through.

We will attempt this today.

I don't think there will be insufficient oxygen and water as tunnel is 2.5 km long," he added.
