Chamoli disaster: 10 dead bodies have been indentified out of 34, informs Uttarakhand DGP

On Chamoli glacier burst, Uttarakhand DGP, Ashok Kumar said, "We were undertaking rescue operation in the big tunnel to remove debris till yesterday.

We have also started drilling in a smaller diameter tunnel to see what is inside.

But it has been suspended temporarily as the machine broke down.

We are preserving DNA samples of the recovered bodies.

Of 34 dead bodies recovered, 10 have been identified so far." A flash flood triggered due to glacier burst on Feb 07 in the district.
