Petrol, Diesel prices rise for 4th consecutive day in MP
Petrol and diesel prices have gone up in Madhya Pradesh and stood at Rs 96.69 and Rs 87.20 per litre respectively on February 14.As compared to yesterday, the price of petrol has become costlier by 0.32 paise while diesel price increased by 0.4 paise.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised on a daily basis in line with the change in international crude oil prices.
The annual Kanwar Yatra, a Hindu pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva, begins as millions of devotees embark on a sacred journey across central India. Kanwariyas, as the pilgrims are known, travel on foot to collect holy water from the Ganges River, carrying it back to local Shiva temples. This month-long event, concentrated in states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh, sees devotees seeking blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual purification through their arduous trek and ritualistic offerings.

A tragic stampede occurred at a spiritual gathering in Hathras, organized by Sakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba. The incident happened as crowds were leaving, resulting in about 90 deaths. Bhole Baba, formerly Suraj Pal, quit his job 17 years ago to become a spiritual leader. He has millions of followers, mainly from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
