Home Secretary Priti Patel's plan to make it harder for people entering the UK by unauthorised routes to claim asylum has been branded 'inhumane' by the Red Cross.
MPs including shadow environment secretary Victoria Atkins, shadow foreign secretary Priti Patel and Tory party leader Kemi Badenoch have turned out in Westminster to offer their support to the farmers protest. Thousands of farmers arrived at the event in a convoy of tractors before joining a huge rally attended by celebrities including Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Jeremy Clarkson.
