Darbhanga airport adds another milestone to India's air connectivity

Darbhanga, adjacent to the India-Nepal border, is a rapidly expanding historic city in the state of Bihar.

The city was connected by air on 8 November 2020 under the regional connectivity scheme "UDAN".

The Darbhanga civil enclave built by the Airports Authority of India is poised to become the busiest RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme) airport.

The number of daily flights has risen from three to six, which is now connecting Darbhanga to major metros including Delhi and Mumbai.

Darbhanga Airport, with a capacity of about 200 passengers, is also equipped with a child care room, baggage x-ray machine, conveyor belts.

The airport has an apron built to park two AIRBUS-320 aircraft.

In addition, the terminal building has been given a local identity with regional folk art Madhubani paintings.

With the commencement of this airport, passengers from about 17 districts of North Bihar will be benefited.

People of Bihar's Mithilanchal region were demanding the construction of an airport for a long time as they had to endure long, tiring journeys till Patna to catch their flights.

All the required protocols are being followed at Darbhanga Airport.

From maintaining social distancing at the terminal, sanitizing passengers' baggage, cleanliness is being taken care of at the airport.

Under the UDAN scheme that started in 2017, it was resolved to connect every part of the country by air travel.

Under this, around 57 airports have been upgraded so far and travel has started on 326 new air routes.

Darabhanga Airport is an example in this episode.

Rajkot Airport Roof Canopy Collapses After Heavy Rain, No Injuries Reported

Less than a year after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rajkot International Airport (RIA) at Hirasar village, a section of the roof canopy in the terminal’s passenger drop and pickup area collapsed following heavy rain on Saturday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and airport operations were not affected. This incident follows a similar roof collapse at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport after record rainfall. The temporary terminal, still under construction, experienced a canopy failure due to water accumulation. RIA officials are conducting an inquiry and will submit a detailed report to the Airports Authority of India (AAI). #RajkotAirport #AirportIncident #HeavyRain #Infrastructure #BreakingNews #rajkot #rains ~HT.178~ED.194~GR.125~

LS Results 2024: Tejashwi Yadav on Whether INDIA Is Trying To Form Alliance Govt At The Centre

In a recent statement in Patna, Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav addressed questions about the prospect of establishing an INDIA alliance government at the Centre. He affirmed their commitment to this goal, emphasising the importance of persistence in their efforts. Yadav stated, "We will keep trying. People should keep trying. Why shouldn't they?" Reflecting on the alliance's recent performance, Yadav expressed satisfaction, highlighting their focus on contesting elections based on key issues. He remarked on the divine endorsement received in Ayodhya, saying, "Lord Ram blessed the INDIA Alliance in Ayodhya." Yadav asserted that this blessing signals the decline of the "Modi factor," suggesting that the BJP's dominance is waning and that the party now relies heavily on its allies to maintain a majority. He concluded by celebrating the alliance's success in protecting the Constitution to a significant extent. #loksabharesult #TejashwiYadav #INDIAAlliance #Bihar #NitishKumar #TejashwiYadavNitishKumar #MallikarjunKharge #CongressPressConference #RahulGandhi #Modi #Adani #StockMarket #CongressPressConference #Congress #CongressCelebrations #RahulGandhi #SP #UPResult #AkhileshYadav #loksabharesult2024 #loksabharesultlive #electionresults2024 #electionresultslive #liveelectionresult #electionresultsnow #electionresult #electionresulttoday #2024elections #2024loksabhaelection2024 #2024electionresult #chunavresult #loksabhaelection2024 #loksabha2024 #bjp #congress #pmmodi #narendramodi #rahulgandhi #electionbreaking #electionnews #election2024 ~PR.152~ED.101~
