Voting for 1st phase begins in West Bengal

Voting for 1st phase begins in West Bengal

Voting for the first phase in West Bengal commenced on March 27.

30 seats will go to polls in the first phase including Purulia, Jhargram and some constituencies from Bankura, Purba Medinipur and Paschim Medinipur.

Elections for 294 constituencies in the state will be held in eight phases, starting today till April 29 and the counting will be done on May 2.

All COVID-19 protocols were adhered at the polling station.

Temperature check of all voters was carried out at booths.
