Acknowledging the work done by Bangladesh for Rohingya refugees, India on March 27 said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina discussed the issue during their bilateral talks in Dhaka, and both the sides have an understanding on the refugee provided to more than a million displaced people from Myanmar's Rakhine state.
"This issue does come up and should come up.
There was an understanding between both sides that Bangladesh has done a lot to provide refuge to over a million displaced persons from Myanmar's Rakhine state," said Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla in Dhaka.
"Among the 109 ambulances that we just gifted, a few of them are for the camps where these displaced persons (Rohingya refugees) are housed," he added.
"There is very active collaboration and cooperation among India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan under BBIM group.
We spoke about Motor Vehicle Agreement that is in fairly advanced stage.
We want to take it further.
We are facilitating Bangladesi exports to both these countries via India," Harsh Vardhan Shringla further stated.

The highly anticipated Super 8 match between India and Australia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 will take place on June 24 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia at 8 p.m. IST. This match is crucial for India, as a win will keep their unbeaten streak and potentially knock Australia out of the tournament, offering a chance for revenge after Australia's victory in the 2023 ODI World Cup final.
On November 19, 2023, Australia defeated India at Narendra Modi Stadium, leaving Indian fans and legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in tears. If India wins this match, Australia will be left with two points from three games and will have to rely on Bangladesh defeating Afghanistan to advance to the semifinals. However, Afghanistan is expected to challenge Bangladesh, whose World Cup performance has been poor so far.

Australia suffered a surprising 21-run loss to Afghanistan, jeopardising their semi-final hopes at the 2024 T20 World Cup. Dropping five catches and struggling in the powerplay, Australia were 32-3 early on and eventually all out for 127 while chasing 149. This loss means Australia may need to rely on net run-rate to advance, even if they win against India in their final Super Eight game. Afghanistan's historic win keeps their own semi-final hopes alive ahead of their match against Bangladesh. With Australia set to face India on June 24, experts discuss what are the prospects of the Men In Blue winning against the Australian Side in this new episode of Pitch Battle.

Former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Thomas Crooks fired five shots from an AR-15 rifle from a 120-yard distance. The incident highlighted critical security lapses compared to the SPG protocols for India's PM Modi, which include limited exposure and thorough sweeps. Footage revealed disorganised Secret Service personnel, insufficient Bullet-resistant shields, and Sniper protection. This event recalls the assassination of Japan's former PM Shinzo Abe and underscores the urgent need for a comprehensive review of security measures for political candidates.
