‘Judicial inquiry against Central agencies unfortunate’: Rajnath Singh in Kerala

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the Kerala government is challenging the federal structure of the Constitution by issuing an order to conduct a judicial inquiry against the central agencies probing the gold smuggling case.

In a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Singh said, "Kerala Cabinet has taken a decision to hold a judicial inquiry against central agencies probing the gold smuggling scam.

It means that the Kerala government is challenging the federal structure of the Constitution." Singh is in Kerala to campaign for the BJP-NDA candidates in the Assembly polls.

The election for the 140-member Kerala assembly in 14 districts will be held in a single phase on April 6.

The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
