According to jail authorities, 44 prisoners and a child have tested positive for COVID-19.

This Patiala jail has as many as 102 prisoners.

All prisoners and jail officials have taken COVID-19 shots as a precautionary manner.

Punjab has witnessed sudden increase in COVID-19 cases and night curfew has been imposed in some districts.
