'If TMC has retail corruption, BJP has wholesale corruption': TMC MP Derek O'Brien l Coming soon
Trinamool MP and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's go-to man in Delhi Derek O'Brien spoke exclusively to Hindustan Times' Kumkum Chadha on the West Bengal polls.
Speaking on the issue of corruption in the state, the TMC MP said that the BJP is very good at spreading negative perception and added that if TMC has retail corruption, then BJP has wholesale corruption.
Recent bypolls across seven Indian states resulted in significant gains for the opposition INDIA bloc, which won 10 out of 13 assembly seats. The Congress party secured victories in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while the Trinamool Congress swept all four seats in West Bengal. The BJP won two seats, including one in Madhya Pradesh. These results are seen as a boost for the opposition and may indicate shifting political dynamics ahead of future elections.
