We receive 1500-2000 calls everyday for oxygen: Varanasi plant manager

Amid the second wave of pandemic, demand of oxygen cylinders have increased across country.

In order to ensure seamless and unhindered supply of medical oxygen to the hospitals in Varanasi, staff at Oxygen plant is working day and night.

Varanasi's Oxygen plant manager said, "Earlier we used to sit here for 3-4 hours, now we barely get 4 hours to sleep.

1500-2000 calls are received everyday.

We are working at capacity." The plant produces 1400 cylinders on a daily basis.

Demand has gone up by 4-5 times compared to the common days.
