Groom in MP, on way to wedding, tests positive after police stopped baraat

A groom in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, where he was on his way to his wedding function, was found COVID positive after police stopped the baraat and conducted rapid antigen tests of the passengers.

Groom's car driver also tested positive for coronavirus.

Police has registered a case and has also booked the family of bride for organising the function despite strict guidelines in place due to COVID-19.

The groom was later sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
