In a very significant discovery, for the first time, major deposits of Lithium have been found in India.
According to the Geological Survey of India , about 5.9 million tonnes of lithium reserves have been found in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prior to this, a small reserve of Lithium was said to have been discovered in Karnataka in 2021.
