China draws India's ire for its plan to expand railway line at border | Explainer | Oneindia News

China is planning to very soon set into motion a new plan of expanding its railway infrastructure.

It has reportedly finalized the plans to augment the TAR railway network i.e Tibetan Autonomous Region network from the current 1400 Kms to 4000 Kms by 2025.

But this has raised alarm for India.

The new plan after being operationalized will bring the Chinese railway lines just at the doorsteps of India and its contiguous neighborhood.

China says it is a part of its plan to improve connectivity between Xinjiang and Tibet.

But for India, this plan and the railway line smacks of an effort to stoke tensions.

It has not been long since the Galwan stand-off between the two nations and perhaps a new epicenter of conflict seems to be brewing.

In this video, we dissect this new Chinese plan of expanding infrastructure and explain to you why this is a red flag for India.

COUNTERSTRIKE! India Responds To China's Arunachal move, To Rename 30 Places in Tibet

India has taken a tit-for-tat step in response to China by approving the renaming of 30 places in Tibet. This move is seen as a strong rebuttal to China's decision to rename places in Arunachal Pradesh. The renaming initiative by the Indian government comes in the wake of heightened tensions between India and China, particularly following the violent clash in the Pangong Tso area in eastern Ladakh on May 5, 2020. Since then, the two nations have engaged in 21 rounds of military talks to address the standoff but are yet to reach a comprehensive resolution. #IndiaChinaTensions #ArunachalPradesh #TibetRenaming #Geopolitics #IndiaStrikesBack #BorderDispute #SinoIndianRelations #Tibet #DiplomaticMove #NamingRights #StrategicResponse #IndiaChinaConflict #RegionalPolitics #TerritorialDispute #IndiaChinaFaceOff ~HT.97~PR.152~ED.155~
