Nuh Violence: Role of Monu Manesar, cow vigilante in communal clashes in Haryana | Oneindia News
Bajrang Dal member Monu Manesar has cropped up at the centre of communal clashes that broke out during a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession in the Nuh district of Haryana, where two home guards and a civilian were killed and more than 15 others injured including several policemen.
In the wake of the violence, all schools and colleges in Gurugram and Faridabad have been ordered to remain closed on Tuesday, 1 August.
Moreover, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) have been imposed in Gurugram and Nuh.
IMD also issued a 'Yellow' alert for the national capital for the next two days, and an 'Orange alert' for Haryana and Punjab for today predicting heavy spells.. DNA
The Haryana government has ordered a 24-hour suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in Nuh district ahead of the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra. This decision, effective from 6 PM Sunday to 6 PM Monday, aims to prevent the spread of misinformation and ensure public safety following the violent clashes during last year's procession. Last year, violence erupted during the Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries, including the tragic killing of a mosque's naib imam in Gurugram. This year, unprecedented security measures are in place, including police, paramilitary forces, and drone surveillance, to ensure a peaceful yatra.
