Cheryl Korbel, the mother of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel who was murdered by Thomas Cashman in August 2022, has welcomed a new ruling which forces criminals to attend their sentencing hearings.

It follows a campaign by Cheryl to change the law after Olivia's killer Thomas Cashman refused to attend his sentencing.
