Hong Kong police have arrested an Indian man suspected of molesting a Korean visitor while she was live streaming for her solo travel blog in Central.
The Police said the suspect was a 46-year-old man, and more information on the case would be provided later in the day.
A viral 60-second online clip recorded during her live stream shows the woman’s ordeal began when she was approached by a man near a tram stop in Central on Sunday night.
The visitor, in Hong Kong for the first time, attempted to get rid of him, but he kept on pestering her and placed his arm on her shoulder as she walked along.
As they reached an entrance of Central MTR station, the man grabbed her arm and said in English: “Come with me.” “Please don’t hold my arm,” she pleaded in English, while trying to push him away.
The live-streamer continued to resist the man’s advances, but the man in the video continued to follow her.

The United Arab Emirates witnessed an unprecedented deluge, marking its most substantial rainfall on record since 1949. Described as a "historic weather event" by the state-run WAM news agency, the widespread downpour across the UAE is attributed to a combination of factors, including cloud seeding initiatives. Significant disruptions have been reported in flights from India to Dubai due to heavy rains causing flooding at the emirate's airport, one of the world's busiest. Air India, operating 72 weekly flights from multiple Indian cities to Dubai, alongside IndiGo, have cancelled their services on Wednesday. Other carriers, including Air India Express, Vistara, and SpiceJet, which also serve various Indian cities to Dubai routes, have been affected as well. Dubai, hosting a substantial Indian diaspora, sees these flight cancellations impacting travel plans and connections for many.
