The coast guard of China was accused by the Philippines of installing a ‘floating barrier’ in the South China Sea's disputed area.

The Philippines said that the floating barrier has prevented the Filipinos from entering the area and fishing.

Coast guard spokesperson Commodore Jay Tarriela took to X to express his opinion regarding the installation.

He said that the coast guard of Manila and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources strongly condemned the installation of the barrier by China in a part of the Scarborough Shoal.
