No significant breakthrough by Russia around Avdiivka despite ongoing offensive
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has observed simultaneous attacks to the northwest, west, and south of Avdiivka using armoured assault groups, rotary wing aircraft, and concentrated artillery.
Russia claims to have discovered a makeshift Ukrainian laboratory near Avdeevka, allegedly used to produce chemical weapons. The Russian Defense Ministry released footage showing personnel collecting samples from the site. They reported finding traces of substances that could be used to create hydrogen cyanide. Russia also accused Ukraine of using such weapons in at least two instances. Ukraine denies these allegations, and the US has dismissed Russia's claims as "absurd."

Russian forces have made significant progress in the villages of Evgenovka, Novgorodskoye, Timofeeva, Sokol, and Toretsk, repelling five Ukrainian counterattacks in the region.
