Sunak: Rape allegations against Tory MP are very serious
The prime minister has described rape allegations against a Conservative MP as "very serious" and says his party's complaints procedures are "robust".
Former Tory Party chairman Sir Jake Berry is said to have warned the police that an internal "failure" to act on allegations allowed the unnamed politician to "continue to offend".
Rishi Sunak urged anyone with information or evidence about any criminal acts to "talk to the police".
