Parliament Security Breach: Delhi Police registers case under UAPA - Know about it | Oneindia News
The Parliament witnessed a shocking breach of security on Wednesday, December 13th.
In a brazen move, two individuals entered the Lok Sabha chamber, releasing coloured smoke canisters, while two others were arrested outside for a similar act.
A fifth individual, Lalit Jha, remains at large, and a sixth suspect, identified as Vicky, has been detained by the Delhi Police.
As per the latest reports, four of the accused, Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Neelam, and Amol Shinde, are now facing charges under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Rahul Gandhi expressed dismay during his third visit to Manipur since the outbreak of violence, lamenting the lack of improvement as the state remains divided. He highlighted the dire situation: houses burning, lives at risk, and thousands displaced to relief camps. Gandhi urged the Prime Minister to visit Manipur, hear firsthand the people's grievances, and advocate for peace. The Congress Party and INDIA are set to vigorously address Manipur's peace needs in Parliament, aiming to compel the government to act decisively and end the ongoing tragedy.

The Swati Maliwal assault case took a dramatic turn late Saturday night when Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court placed the accused, Bibhav Kumar, in five-day police custody. Kumar, who serves as the personal assistant to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested, prompting Kejriwal to announce a massive Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protest at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Delhi. As the protest began, several AAP leaders were detained by the Delhi Police, and Section 144 was imposed on DDU Marg, where the BJP headquarters are located. Amidst the chaos, Kejriwal accused the ruling party of orchestrating "Operation Jhaadu," a purported mission aimed at arresting all AAP leaders. He emphasised that this operation was part of a larger strategy by the BJP to undermine and dismantle the AAP leadership.
