Putin calls for production of missiles previously banned under 1988 treaty
At the UN Security Council on Friday, a representative from Conflict Armament Research said his organisation had detailed the components of missiles used against Ukraine and says the evidence shows they originated in North Korea.
Earlier this month, Putin warned the West that Moscow might supply arms to other countries capable of striking Western targets. This was a response to NATO countries providing Ukraine with long-range missiles used against Russian targets.

In a significant development, senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mardawi has announced that the Hamas movement is ready to cooperate in implementing the recently approved United Nations Security Council (UNSC) ceasefire resolution for Gaza. Speaking to the Palestinian Samaa News Agency, al-Mardawi expressed Hamas' willingness to work with mediators to ensure the resolution's success. “We welcome the UNSC resolution regarding the ceasefire in Gaza and are ready to cooperate with the mediators to implement it,” he said. He emphasised the need for a public commitment from Israel regarding the ceasefire before entering into negotiations. Furthermore, al-Mardawi insisted that the United States must serve as the guarantor of the agreement.
