Kevin Costner's 'Horizon' Sets Max Release Date After Box Office Flop | THR News Video

The first chapter of Kevin Costner's 'Horizon: An American Saga' is headed to streaming sooner than you might think.

'Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1' will hit the streaming service Max on August 23rd.

The film was released in theaters back in June, but disappointed at the box office, opening to just $11 million.

The release of 'Horizon: Chapter 2' was then put on hold in order to give audiences the opportunity to discover the first installment on Premium VOD and Max.

(Chapter 2 was previously supposed to hit theaters on August 16th before being pulled from the calendar.)
