On October 11, a serious train accident occurred when the Mysuru-Darbhanga Express collided with a goods train near Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The crash happened around 8:30 pm on the Chennai-Gudur section, between Ponneri and Kavaraippettai stations.

The impact caused 12 coaches to derail, resulting in injuries to 19 passengers.

Rescue and relief operations were quickly launched, and all passengers were safely evacuated from the scene.
