Dame Andrea Jenkyns has joined Reform UK and will stand as the party’s candidate for mayor of Greater Lincolnshire.
Leader Nigel Farage praised Jenkyns, saying she had long felt the Conservative Party’s leadership choices were not in line with her values.
Farage emphasised Reform UK’s goal of becoming the main opposition to Labour, welcoming other Conservatives but warned against bringing internal party divisions.
