Nikki Glaser called out beauty standards and joked about having to wake up at the crack of dawn to open The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment gala, presented by Lifetime, on Wednesday at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser and the show's executive producers are giving The Hollywood Reporter a special behind-the-scenes look ahead of Sunday's show. Glaser revealed that she's been preparing for the big night by workshopping her opening monologue in front of live audiences at her standup shows. In fact, she's performing it at nine shows around Los Angeles from now until Sunday when the Golden Globes air live on CBS.

The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a law effectively subjecting TikTok to a national ban on Sunday. The massively popular social media platform that is used by roughly half the country will be shut down, unless there's an 11th-hour lifeline from President-elect Donald Trump, who has said he can reach a deal to rescue the app. The Hollywood Reporter spoke to TikTok creators and asked how they're feeling about the Supreme Court's decision.

David Lynch, the writer-director whose film and TV work included 'Blue Velvet,' 'Mulholland Drive' and 'Twin Peaks,' has died. He was 78. Lynch's death was announced on his Facebook page. The post read, "It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There's a big hole in the world now that he's no longer with us. But, as he would say, 'Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.' It's a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way."

The first trailer for 'Daredevil: Born Again' is here. The show sees Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock, attorney by day and vigilante by night, while Vince D'Onofrio once again plays Wilson Fisk aka the super villain Kingpin. The actors first played these characters in the Netflix Marvel series 'Daredevil,' which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. Drake has filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group for Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us." Drake filed in federal court on Wednesday and said the release of Lamar's "Not Like Us," which is aimed at the Canadian rapper, an example of valuing "corporate greed over the safety and well-being of its artists."
