In a damning revelation, Yatsik detailed cases of troops being severely beaten, resulting in cracked skulls and ruptured organs, and even being confined in cages as punishment for disobedience.

The allegations center around the 211th Pontoon Bridge Brigade, a military engineering unit reportedly plagued by nepotism and corruption.

An investigative report revealed that the brigade's leadership is dominated by interconnected families, including Colonel Lieutenant Valery Pastukh and his son Vladislav, with allegations of systematic harassment, extortion, and abusive punishments such as tying soldiers to crosses.
