Sir Sadiq Khan has launched a public consultation on his controversial plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street. The Mayor of London announced the proposal to pedestrianise a 0.7-mile stretch of the popular shopping district in September and has said the plans would âunlock the true potentialâ of the famous street which had âsuffered in recent yearsâ.
