Princess Anne returned to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where she was treated for a head injury last summer to personally thank the staff for their care.
The Princess Royal spent five days in the hospital in June 2024 with a concussion after being struck by a horse.

Sir Ed Davey has spoken out in support of Keir Starmer's decision to scrap NHS England. Speaking in Yorkshire on Thursday following the announcement, the Liberal Democrats leader said that while he supports the decision, more needs to be done. 18-year-old Hassan Sentamu has been sentenced to at least 23 years for murdering 15-year-old Elianne Andam in Croydon. Paying tribute to the late teenager following the sentencing, her cousin Gideon said: "She was a light in all of our lives. Our only hope now is that real change will come from this tragedy - knife crime is taking too many lives."
