Manipur BREAKING | CM Biren Singh Hands Over Resignation to Governor Amid Violence in State
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has submitted his resignation to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla amid ongoing violence in the state.
Singh’s move comes ahead of the assembly session set to begin on February 10, where the opposition Congress planned to introduce a no-confidence motion against his government.
Earlier, Singh held a crucial meeting with BJP-led alliance MLAs before departing for Delhi on a chartered flight.
While the purpose of his visit remains unclear, his resignation follows years of ethnic unrest that have sparked nationwide concern.

The 6th edition of the India-Japan joint military exercise 'Dharma Guardian' is currently underway at the East Fuji Training Area in Japan.
