Street sweeper ‘over the moon’ after holiday present

Street sweeper Paul Spiers says he is “over the moon” after getting the go-ahead to be able to take a holiday to Portugal, funded by local residents in Beckenham, southeast London. Paul is so popular locals set up an online fundraiser to raise money to send him on a trip abroad for his birthday. But his bosses said he couldn't accept the gift because of the terms of his contract. Luckily a holiday company stepped in and created a competition only Paul could win. Report by Blairm. Parents arrive at inquest into 4-year-old son’s death

Parents of a 4-year-old boy who died of sepsis after being prescribed Calpol arrive at an inquest into his death in east London. Daniel Klosi died from sepsis at the Royal Free Hospital in north London last year, having been taken to the hospital four times in a week, including twice in one day, by his anxious parents.
