Monday, 15 April 2024 MPs have rejected a series of Lords' amendments to the government's Rwanda bill - as a week of parliamentary showdown on the legislation begins.
Foreign secretary Lord Cameron said he is "confident" the Rwanda bill will be passed by parliament this week. The legislation which is set to be passed declares Rwanda a safe country - after the Supreme Court blocked an earlier plan in November.
