Can't rule out foreign agencies' role in Manipur: Former Army chief Naravane
Involvement of foreign agencies in the ongoing violence in Manipur "cannot be ruled out", former Army chief General MM Naravane (retd) has said, while flagging China's aid to various insurgent groups in the northeast over the decades. "If there is instability in not only a neighbouring country (Myanmar), but also in a border state (Manipur), then it is bad for our overall national security. Internal security is very important for us," he said.
