Pm Narendra Modi, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina to open cross-border rail link
Monday, 30 October 2023 Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, are set to jointly inaugurate a significant cross-border railway project via a virtual event on Wednesday. This project is expected to significantly reduce the travel time between Kolkata and Agartala from 31 hours to just 10. Additionally, the Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, will also be participating in the program remotely, scheduled for 11.30 am, state transport secretary UK Chakma said.
