Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and other opposition members of the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee stormed out of a meeting, accusing the chairperson of asking "indecent personal" questions in relation to bribery allegations against Moitra. The committee may recommend action against her. Moitra described the questions as "filthy" and defended her innocence. Angry words were exchanged during the meeting, and BJP MPs continued discussions after the opposition members left. Opposition members criticized the chairperson's conduct and objected to leaked reports about Moitra's parliamentary ID and foreign travels.
