UP teacher booked for ‘converting’, ‘abusing’ boy

A woman teacher and three other people were detained by the UP police in Kanpur on court-mandated accusations of forcing a Class X kid to convert and sexually abusing him. The boy's parents, who are from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, claim that after they told the school headmistress, she instructed them to keep it quiet. The parents then went to the local police in Kanpur's Cantonment region, but they claim that nothing was done.

In a devastating road accident today, at least 18 people lost their lives and many others were injured after the bus they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
