Naxalism now in last stages, finish it off, Shah tells forces
Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated that left-wing extremism is in its final stages, with counter-Naxal forces restricting Maoists' area of operation. The influence of Maoists has shrunk to 176 police stations across 45 districts from 455 police stations across 96 districts in the past decade. Incidents of Maoist violence have decreased by 52% and deaths by 70%. The battle against left-wing extremism is ongoing in Kolhan and some areas of Jharkhand.
