Raman effect, but BJP may go for tribal or OBC face

IndiaTimes Sunday, 3 December 2023
BJP vice-president Raman Singh is a front-runner for the top post of chief minister in Chhattisgarh. The party may also consider a fresh face, possibly from the tribal or OBC community. Vishnu Deo Sai and Arun Sao are strong contenders if the party looks for a tribal candidate. Union minister Renuka Singh Sarpota, who won in the tribal Surguja region, is also in the limelight. IAS officer-turned-politician O P Choudhary could be given an important role based on Amit Shah's statement.
