Supreme Court delivers historic verdict, declares Article 370 as temporary provision granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Verdicts from CJI and other justices concur. Article 370 was introduced for transitional purposes due to war conditions. J&K Constituent Assembly's recommendation not binding on the President. Article 370 meant for constitutional integration, not disintegration. All provisions of Constitution apply to J&K. The SC directed restoration of statehood, calls for J&K assembly elections by Sep 30, 2024.
