Pannun murder plot: Nikhil Gupta accused in US, moves Supreme Court
A habeas corpus petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Nikhil Gupta, accused by the US of hatching a plot to kill Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The petition seeks the Indian government's intervention to release Gupta from prison in the Czech Republic. Gupta alleges being subjected to forced consumption of beef and pork, denied consular access, contact with family in India, and the freedom to seek legal representation. US law enforcement authorities have filed murder-for-hire charges against Gupta.
