IndiaTimes Friday, 5 January 2024
India on Friday reported 761 fresh cases and 12 deaths due to Covid-19 in a span of 24 hours. Of the 12 deaths, a maximum five were reported from Kerala, four from Karnataka, two from Maharashtra, and one from UP, according to the Union health ministry data. "Some states have reconciled their Covid deaths data due to which there appears to be a sudden rise. There is little evidence of increase in hospitalisation or deaths on account of Covid," said a official from the health ministry.
