Maharashtra resident doctors at odds over BMC strike call and bond post derecognition

A rift has surfaced between the state chapter of the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) and their counterparts from the BMC-run medical colleges. The Central MARD has taken an opposing stand to the BMC MARD's strike call against the derecognition of bond posts in civic medical colleges, deeming it β€œentirely illegal.” It’s probably the first time that a massive divide has been seen in the resident doctors' body that typically refrains from taking a confrontational stance.​
