PM degree row: SC declines AAP's Sanjay Singh plea against summons
The Supreme Court rejected AAP MP Sanjay Singh's plea against the summons issued by a trial court in a defamation case filed by Gujarat University. Singh had allegedly made comments about PM Narendra Modi's academic degree. Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta declined to intervene, upholding the High Court's decision not to halt the trial. Singh had challenged the High Court's ruling.
