Lok Sabha polls: All set for voting on 102 seats as world’s biggest election kicks off

With 16.63 crore voters poised to decide the fate of 1625 candidates, India is prepared to begin the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with Phase 1 this Friday. The high-voltage electioneering for the largest Phase came to an end at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, when a 48-hour silent period began, according to the Model Code of Conduct.
