IMD issues severe heat wave alert for Northwest India plains; heat wave conditions for MP, Gujarat

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe heatwave red alert for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, predicting heatwave conditions to persist over the next five days in Northwest India. Delhi also faces a red alert with temperatures ranging from 28 to 44°C. Heatwave warnings extend to several other regions, including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch.
